If you have a decent die grinder it might be worth making a tool post mount for it. You'll probably want to use a pretty high speed for best results- I don't know if your 3ph motor would really suit. Personally I wouldn't use any thing that doesn't at least take a 1/4 inch shank, and I'd prefer if it were able to take a 1/2 inch shank.
