Dec 23, 2018. #5. I have a 354. Pretty much everything JLTrent said. I would look for one that has the hydraulic drive for the loading and unloading auger. They have a lot less moving parts that way. I grind ear corn with mine and it will grind it as fast as the auger can feed it in. Parts for them are expensive like the drive gears and such.

This is common problem on gehl grinders and I think new hollands. Basically any grinder that has the mill takeout auger under the vertical screw. The 1150 ihc mixer mill auger dumps onto the mix screw above the bottom. We used to take the mill auger out of gehl and add flipper paddles to throw fluffy stuff up to mixer screw.
